During this meeting, you will have the opportunity to:

We test your child for 2 weeks on a range of knowledge and skills
We set an IEP (Individual Education Plan) for your child
We use specialised AAC activities for your child to work & improve with.
After a 10-day observation period, the SENBOX Center will provide an observation report.
This report is not a diagnostic assessment; rather, it clearly outlines the child’s strengths and areas of difficulty.
Its purpose is to help the center, teachers, and parents understand the child’s needs so they can collaboratively set meaningful goals to support the child’s skill development over the next 3 to 6 months as part of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
The focus will be on helping the student explore the environment, build initial peer relationships, and establish rapport with the observer.
The student will be introduced to the academic program for initial assessment purposes.
*Please note that during this phase, instructional reinforcement will not be applied, as the goal is to gauge baseline responses and readiness.
We will only observe how your child interacts with their environment, learns naturally, and responds to different situations.

Team Specialist will guide you through each section of your child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP), ensuring that you fully understand how the program is designed to support your child. This includes:
Recommended Strategies: These are personalized teaching approaches and behavioral strategies that the educational team has identified based on your child’s observation and learning style. These may include visual supports, structured routines, sensory tools, or positive reinforcement techniques.
Support Services: These may involve language intervention, social-emotional support, one-on-one sessions, small group instruction, and any additional services required to help your child meet their goals.
Academic and Developmental Goals: Clear, measurable goals will be included in the IEP, based on the results of the observation period. These goals will help track your child’s progress over time and will be reviewed regularly.
We issue a full report on your child's steps
Highlight difficulties, show progress made
Including a selection of pictures from the teaching evidence records.
Parents will be given a written report on their child's progress every 12 weeks (once per term).
It takes a minimum of 6 weeks to 3 months to implement and observe any changes in behavior or academic progress.
All progress and changes are recorded with meeting minutes and updates to track your child’s journey.
Reports in special education can be a valuable tool for parents, teachers, and other team members. They can help to ensure that students with disabilities are receiving the services and support they need to succeed.
